Summary | 0004218: Creatures getting stuck on top of inaccessible/unreachable walls
Description | Dwarves and animals somehow appear on top of wall, despite no path. May starve to death if not noticed.
Steps To Reproduce | Build a bunch of walls, preferably near a crowded area so there's lots of chances to show the glitch. Don't provide stairs to get down, or you may not catch it.
Additional Information | I have seen this multiple times now, though today it caused it's first problem. When I have walls about, animals and dwarves somehow seem to get on top of them, despite that there is no actual way to get on top of them. No stairs, nothing. I had been passing it off as something animals did, and ignoring it (and them) despite that a few of the grazers starved to death. Just 10 minutes ago, I saw a message saying a dwarf had died of thirst, and it turns out that said dwarf, along with another dwarf and a cow, had somehow gotten on top of the walls with which I had used to enclose my geese so they could lay eggs in peace. These were not meant to be scaled, so there was no way up or down, hence he died of thirst. I built stairs to save the other dwarf and the cow, he former of which was extremely hungry and thirsty as well, while the cow was not. This leads me to question whether the cow had gotten stuck at the same time as him or, more likely, at a much later time.

Reminder sent to: Pickerel Could your dwarves/animals be falling onto the walls from above, possibly as a result of dodging away from fights etc? It would be helpful to upload a save to http://dffd.wimbli.com/ [^] showing where the dwarves/animals are getting stuck. |

Still in 34.02 - I had a marksdwarf "jump" on top of an unreachable 1 tile size piece of wall in the middle of my archer tower, not being able to get down, resulting in goblin archers getting nice target practise. |
