Description

It seems that in some cases dwarves can be stuck in a combat situation where an opponent that has suffered body wounds (all limbs and body parts severly fractured / injured by training weapons or blunt weapons)will just not die as long as no-one severs a body part.

As one can see the situation could not be resolved untill the Captain severed the head off (the logs started after I had sent an untrained new captain equiped with an iron short sword to finish off this Blizzard man because the squad fighting him was dying of thirst / hunger ).

Steps To Reproduce

Equip Squad with full armor and Wooden Training swords.
Attack an strong ( Troll / Blizzard Man ) unarmed / unarmored opponent and it will eventually happen that it won't die by the wounds it suffers even when the whole body is fully broken.

Combining the use of cage traps, disarming and then pitting the enemy into your squads hand is an effective way to reproduce this problem.

Additional Information

This is another easy way to train up squads from 0 sword skill to Legendary in a very short time as long as you can micro-manage it preventing hunger / dehydration.
It also seems that Soldiers that are involved in an Fight does not eat / drink if needed as long as they are fighting / chasing an enemy.

Notes
(0018497) Knight Otu (manager) 2011-08-13 02:19	0002327 covers the aspect of blunt weapons being horribly ineffective. Soldiers not eating and drinking during that time should be an aspect of 0002486.
