It might help for clarity's sake if you post a screenshot of the unit list showing what's above and below him. http://tinypic.com/ [^]

Yea, all dead critters end up on the bottom of the U screen - dead dwarves are usually bundled together, too.
That's... how it's always been, really! |

Once a dwarf goes berserk, he's treated as an invader and not a citizen and will sort in the death lists as such. I can't remember it not being that way. |

Logical2u: I think the point was that this dwarf is NOT bundled with the dead dwarves. This is why I asked for a screenshot, though, to remove the ambiguity.
Dwarfu: Yeah, might still count as a bug though, I don't know.

Here's my screenshot of this bug, note the highlighted dwarf:

"Fickle" was my mayor who went berserk. He's listed in between animals and elves, so I guess he's not actually included with the animals, instead he's on top of the "neutrals" or "other sapients" list. |

I have a Dwarf who was killed by zombies and raised by a necromancer, then died in my minefield. He is listed as Missing. His body is recognized as a corpse rather than refuse. However, no coffin is assigned to him and he is not being buried. Meanwhile, the Dwarven necromancer who raised him, then was also killed in my minefield, got a decent burial.
This doesn't seem right.

Edit: Today, several game-years after his death, rebirth as an undead, and re-death, the ghost of this Dwarf arose. When I engraved a slab for him, the ghost was laid to rest, AND SO WAS THE CORPSE. Until that time, his corpse had lain in the corpse stockpile, unregarded and unburied. No coffin had been reserved for him, either.

I can confirm this bug for 0.40.15.
One of my dwarf children went berserk after not completing an artifact. He was quickly killed, but he cannot be buried because he does not show up in the list to assign a dwarf to a casket.
And if I'm not mistaken, it will probably come back as a ghost later, where then he will be able to be buried or slabbed. |
