Summary | 0001195: Merchants don't have time to trade |
Description | 5-years old fortress, when merchants are showing up, they take so much time to unload their goods that they leave before the trader can even have a chance to trade (trader at depot, when trying a trade request, merchants are saying they are still unloading their goods, until i get the announcements they are leaving my realm...) |
Steps To Reproduce | Reproduces with every caravan coming to my land. |
Additional Information | it might be linked with the fact that merchants are bringing a bunch of items... |

Possibly a child of 0000325
Can you confirm that this is for all caravans and not a specfic race. |

What is your embark area? And is the route to your fort circuitous or pretty direct? Back in 40d caravans would sometimes either move slowly to reach the trade depot and run out of time that way or have to take such an indirect route that they would have to turn around almost as soon as they arrived. This sounds somewhat similar and may be an inherited problem from 40d.

the route is direct to my trade depot, i'm on a classical 4*4 embark area, with a great plain to my fortress.
I'll check if it is really for every caravan or only with elves. |

|
ok, i successfully managed to trade with a human caravan, it just took 15 mins to unload goods and they departed 2 mins after the trade, so it really might be related with the time they are taking to load/unload goods, as elves are coming with so much things to trade :) |

|
|
It sounds like it is related to the old 40d bug then. |

The elves are the worst here (fixed now for 0.31.06), though there are sometimes issues with large human wagons. I've dampened that slightly for next time as well. |
