0000163: Alligators are long distance runners?
Apparently, alligators run faster than dwarves, and can run for a very long time. I'm watching my squad have a merry little chase all around the map trying to kill one cowardly alligator.

I think I'm going to have to enter this alligator into some sort of long distance marathon or something.
(1)assign squad to kill alligators
(2)repeat as necessary until an alligator tries to run away.
(3)comedy ensues.

After three full laps around the 2x2 map the alligator pulls a clever distraction using a buzzard to lure the soldiers away so he can get out of sight.

we now repeat the merry-go-round with a single buzzard. A little more believable I suppose, buzzards are probably somewhat fast.

Animal speeds are all placeholders and aren't really supposed to make sense yet. The whole speed issue is a tricky one, since running speed hasn't been separated from attack speed, job speed, and so on.
