Summary0000220: Missing Nobles
DescriptionThe expedition leader was killed almost instantly by a cave in, and after that I am unable to assign any nobles. The noble list under n just appears blank.

Slightly different by the sounds of it, he was the only assigned noble, and not only his position has vanished, but all positions.

I think in this instance (or as it should happen), the expedition leader will get reappointed in the coming seasons (undetermined timeframe) - if he never gets reappointed, then that surely is the bug.

I believe Toady actually wants it this way to show consequences of killing off nobles (either purposefully or accidentally).

If you lose your expedition leader, you no longer have the authority to appoint any other nobles. That is as intended.

I don't know about an expedition leader getting reappointed.

I do know that when the expedition leader dies, ALL appointed nobles go poof.

expedition leader
- military commander
- sheriff
- manager
- chief medical dwarf
- broker
- bookkeeper

all go poof because expedition leader dies. nobles screen is BLANK!
