0000289: *Qurik* Heat from magma cooks wet creatures up to two tiles away)
I don't know if this is a proper bug or a new feature/quirk (it seems quite interesting for making goblin stew traps actually), but in a nutshell, any creature in a tile with at least 1/7 water and two tiles close to magma (or one tile above magma, with a floor in-between) gets wounds in its whole body until they die of blood loss after some time (goblins take about 10-20 seconds)
In arena mode you can easily re-create this by walling in a pool of magma and in the floor above adding 1 or 2/7 water and creatures and watch as they die spontaenously. Another way of doing this is having one wall tile between the magma and the creature, in the same Z-level.
This actually seems to be a quite interesting application of heat transfer in traps, it also makes sense since water conducts heat much more than air. I personally would vote for keeping this unless some more severe effects are observed (creatures getting damage from other warmed-up items in their inventory, such as clothing)

testing is needed to determine if it is the water _in_ the tile that kills the creature or the fact their inventories are full of water. If that is the case, perhaps clothing could damage them too?

Confirmed that it is related to 0000190.

I just played a human in the cooking tub in adventure mode (while in the arena), and it said he melted.
This means all tiles near to magma are potentially lethal to equipped or wet creatures if they stay in them for too long.

I wonder if we could fix it for regular equipment but make cooking creatures alive still possible.. :)

I tried confirming this in the arena and was unable to get a dwarf to melt. I'm actually somewhat disappointed by that. What am I doing wrong?

A feature that could be very inconvenient indeed if you want magma smelters, etc. and it does the same to equipped creatures...

This should be handled for next time. The temperature of tiles adjacent to magma was suffering from the same problem as the melting rain/fish bug, and I've adjusted it down for the time being.
