Summary0002966: Human fighters accompanying human merchants did not leave when the merchants left.
DescriptionA human trade caravan came to my trade depot. Accompanying the traders were a human lasher, hammerman, and spearman. After receiving the announcement that the traders departed and then doing various things with my fortress, I looked at the depot and noticed that the human warriors were still in there just standing. I tried to see if I could still trade, but I could not. I don't know if this has anything to do with it, but when the caravan arrived, I did not have a trade depot because it had been destroyed in an earlier siege. I built one while the merchants waited.

Do they ever eventually leave? Occasionally in previous versions some guards could get left behind, but they eventually left too.

This is probably 0002895. Are they labeled "Friendly" in the unit list?
