0003505: Weather Change 'Undug' ground
Minor change in weather during an early season in the game caused areas to be be refilled in, as if they had not been dug at all.

It occurred, I think, when a lake attempted to thaw during Spring, and ended up filling in both a portion of the lake I was digging, as well as a large chunk of ground that I was quarrying.
Just digging in the area and allow it to happen (I can give more information as soon as I get it.)

When water freezes, it creates a square full of ice - an ice wall. I think this is what happened in your case. It's expected behaviour.

Did you embark on the site of a previous fortress without doing a Reclaim? If so, this is a duplicate of 0003378; if not, it's a duplicate of 0003335.

It's probably what Quietust said, it looks to be a copy of 0003335. The lake did not melt, just the brook following into it. As well, the area I was quarrying out, which was in the middle of a Chalk flat, was undug as well.

If you say so!
