Summary | 0004648: Crash / Freeze / Lockup on Spring 28 |
Description | This save begins on approximately Granite 21. Let it run until Granite 28. On my system, the game locks up. I check z-status and have seen Granite 27, but it always locks up before I can see Granite 28. I suspect the game locks up at the day changeover. This is the first season of the embark (the dwarves are fresh from the Mountainhomes). |
Steps To Reproduce | Place the following save game in your saves directory:
http://dffd.wimbli.com/file.php?id=4405 [^]
Load the save game.
Let it run for a few (in game) days. It freezes for me. |

Have you let it run on after the freeze? It's possible that's just the spring thaw, and it's taking some time to recalculate all the temperatures. That can lock up the game for several minutes, in some cases.

There is certainly a thaw occurring around that time.
The game completed stopped rendering graphics, but the processor was running hot on the process, so I let it keep going as you advised.
It did, in fact, complete the calculations (after approximately 3 minutes) and started running again.
That is an insane delay, but certainly not a crash. Thanks.
