Summary0006431: Crash when mass-melting items via stocks menu
DescriptionTook a while but narrowed my crash problem down to melting items. In the save file I have if I load it and let it run with the melt jobs queued it crashes in about 2 minutes. If I load it and cancel all the melt jobs the game continues running fine.

I tried to narrow it down to particular item but it doesn't seem to be item related. Eg, I melted all silver items at once and got a crash, then melted them individually and didn't crash.

I loaded the game, cancelled the melt jobs, let it run for another season, added the melt jobs and it crashed again in 1 minute.

Same problem...
With melting jobs on, crash in 2 minutes...
With melting jobs off, no crash...
No specific item...
Melting almost everything...

Just let it go...

Seems related to "0001046: Melting item produces hard crash." or similar.
This should be closed but came back with full strength...

Ps.: After more research, I think i find out the problem...
Problem is with mass melting via stock screen...
Redesigned by d-b-m mass melt across stockpiles and everythins seems to be OK...

I've download yours Oksi and get the same result as you, about 30 seconds in it crashes.

I can confirm the same result. Melting through the stocks menu crashes, melting through d-b-m on a stockpile works fine.

Maybe an unreachable item or a crate being moved is causing it.

Using the "Cavescorches" save (not sure which of the above it was), I left it running for several minutes and it did not crash.

However, I did observe that there were 2 pig tail fiber shoes designated for melting, along with a large number of "Marked N items to melt" messages in the announcement log, which suggests that the crash is being caused by a buggy DFHack plugin (potentially the same one that resulted in the crash described in 0006466).
