Summary | 0007353: Dwarf randomly becomes king... in a fort with 14 dwarves |
Description | One of the migrants had become injured while falling from a tree, so I tried to appoint a chief medical dwarf. In the nobles screen, I soon discovered that one of my most useless dwarves had been appointed king. There was no announcement, no entourage, no grand entrance or entourage. The only thing I know that could have made a difference is that I appointed him broker and then replaced him with another broker with better social skills. He's been fishing for the past couple months prior to his promotion. |
Steps To Reproduce | 1. Create fort
2. Be lucky |
Additional Information | I'm on a VERY good map with tons of flux and metals, currently in the process of constructing full steel armor and weapons for the lucky dwarves in the next migrant wave; they will become my legendary military. I have only dug the first 5-7 levels (disabled aquifers)and have not struck the EXTREMELY valuable metals or gems. Now my next step is to kill the king and hope that nobody replaces him.
EDIT: I killed the king via cave-in, and a queen replaced him. Oh well.
If someone can instruct me on how to upload the save, I'll do so right away. |
