Summary | 0007453: Dwarves will not climb to return to burrow |
Description | I stationed some marksdwarves on a 1-Z-high cliff, and the first one to see the goblins went charging over the edge. Traps caught the ones he aggroed, so I quickly dismissed the station order and all the other marksdwarves went tromping back to the civilian alert burrow. The one who charged just stood at the bottom of the cliff, even though there was a perfectly climbable, un-smoothed wall a couple tiles away. Instead, he waited until I opened the bridge for him.
On a related note, none of the invaders tried to climb the cliff either, despite there being an open path into the fortress just 1 Z level up. It seems like creatures only climb when they're idling, or when they can actually see an enemy. |
Steps To Reproduce | Create a burrow that's easy to climb to, but can't be reached without climbing
Put a dwarf in the burrow
Watch it not find its way to the burrow |
