Summary | 0007560: Companions seem to randomly teleport to the surface while walking around underground
Description | Exactly what it says - companions seem to randomly teleport to the surface while walking around underground. I've seen it happen a good number of times now. You'll know when it happens because they have "+++++++" next to their name on the [c]ompanion screen. Searching for them will be wasted effort - they haven't climbed or gone upwards through a passage. The only surefire way to get them back is to fast travel - even waiting produces random results.
Steps To Reproduce | 1. Gather a load of companions 2. Start walking around underground roadways 3. Keep an eye on your number of companions, particularly after you fight something. Sometimes they'll disappear. 4. Check the [c]ompanion screen.

Nevermind, fast traveling doesn't always fix it. |

Can you upload a save to http://dffd.wimbli.com/ [^] and link to it here? This may be related to http://www.reddit.com/r/dwarffortress/comments/2bebvu/bug_dwarf_teleports_to_safety_4003/ [^] (Fortress mode) |

Wish I could, but I drowned soon after posting this... I could give you the world, but it won't have the problem happening still. Edit: The save you linked sounds like he just climbed out of the pit. |

That's what I thought as well, but I figured a link would be useful in case they turned out to be related. Did this occur in the caverns or a worldgen/player fortress? |

In the caverns, on the underground roads. |
