Summary0001419: Crash upon killing salt titan
DescriptionSo, my military commander ran into battle and after and epic struggle, slashed the beast's head clean off. And then it crashed.

--- actual report ---
Upon severing something (all I had time to see was a white ^2 soaked in red) from a salt titan (I missed the actual description, basically it was composed of salt, had wings and some sort of noble demeanour) the game crashed. shortly beforehand it had toppled a birchen chest and mauled a mountain goat, and gone for a short swim in my moat (murky pool water).
Steps To ReproduceHaven't tried due to the random roll thing.
Additional InformationI didn't save beforehand because I figured I'd be alright, so there's no save I can dump.

how many body parts did it have?
did you start this world/fortress in .03?

I ask because I had an epic battle with a salt titan myself.
it had a body and two wings.
my dwarfs cut off the wings in the first couple of combat turns, but were then unable to kill it.
kept cutting off bits of flesh, and it was leaving piles of salt around.
the body was red. but it slowly "pushed" my whole army to death. there were some really high skilled axe, sword, and spear dwarfs in there too. most of them got exhausted before dieing though.

Yeah, started in .03, and it was humanoid bar the two wings.

Yeah, looks like it. I'm annoyed I didn't get the save with the salt titan though, because I got the announcement about him breaking the birchen chest before the sever occurred, though it was all in quick succession.

Is it possible I'm having trouble killing my titian because the game was started in 01 and upgraded? (yes, I copied the raw's into the save folder)

se5a: probably not, some titans are basically just impossible to kill right now. There are a lot of reports of that nature at 0000033.

Marking this one "unable to reproduce." 0000536 may be responsible, but I guess we'll never know.
