Summary | 0001147: Dwarfs running around stockpile mumbling "Store Item in Stockpile", imitating business, but doing nothing useful
Description | I have 0000001 stockpile, that stores food. I want to eliminate it, because it's outside and unsecure, and I have a secure food stockpile underground. So I did set up "take from pile" connection, hoping that dwarfs will do the food hauling. But instead am observing a very strange behaviour - a dozed of them are running around 0000001 stockpile blinking with tasks "Store Item in Stockpile". The IDLE counter keep blinking like mad. I tried to observe what they are doing in a single-step mode (I might be wrong!): (1) dwarf steps on the tile with food (2) takes it, (3) after few steps drops it, (4) thinks about what task to do next (goto step 1) Rarely they break out of this madness to choose perform some useful task. Removing stockpile solved the problem. However, I observed, that idlers sometimes fail to recognize that there is a job to be done - standing in a meeting area with "No Job". They failed this food hauling. I doubleckecked that there was no dwarf that took this food hauling job.
