Summary0002117: stacked lye only produces 1 potash
DescriptionWhen buying lye from the merchants, it comes stack together in one 'item'. i.e. lye [10]. Dwarves will use the whole item, and only produce a single unit of potash.
Steps To Reproducebuy lye from merchants
make potash from lye
watch only 1 bar come out
Additional InformationWhen you produce lye in your fortress, it stacks multiple single units of lye in the barrel and that works correctly, producing one potash per unit of lye. It's only when the lye is stacked into one item (as from the merchants) that the problem shows up.

 The same thing happened in 40d, so this is a long standing bug.

 I have the same problem with lye and soap making it used the whole stack to make 1 soap in version .08

 ^^^ Good idea. All the ones I could find are now consolidated under 0000808.
