Just got this one too. No cage traps involved. The goblin snatcher got hit by a falling block trap, at which point the alert came that said "Overwrote job: kidnap by clean self".

Had the same problem and was using cage traps. Although the sequence of events was the other way around (FIRST the Snatcher anouncement THEN the overwrote job one).

I just had the same, but I had several traps in a row, one snatcher came along, set them off, and got killed for his trouble(got a snatcher message at that point and lots of blood), then I got 3 message spams, -overwrote job ... Blah blah blah...- and then had a snatcher caught by my cage trap at the end of the hall.

I've just had this too, but the goblin in question hasn't been discovered, just some suspicious blood spurts appearing around the traps with the announcement.

Just got this message after getting snatcher warning and then putting the children in burrow. The messages went away after removing the children from the burrow. The snatcher was not trapped in my case.

This happened to me as well. The goblin got jabbed with a wooden spike trap - he wouldn't leave the main part of my fort or take a child until I sent a squad to kill him.

According to 0000831:0003933, this may also cause the "Kidnap" job to linger visibly in the [j]obs screen.
