Summary | 0005962: dwarves stuck in a loop going to recover wounded, interrupted by the dwarf who's wounded
Description | There was a wereiguana in my fortress. I killed it with crossbows, but some dwarves took injury from friendly fire. The wereiguana was one of my dwarves so naturally there were a lot of bad thoughts. I'm guessing my Siege Engineer threw a tantrum and, before calming down, fell unconscious due to the crossbows in their abdomen. Now most of my dwarves are going to recover wounded, walking a few steps in the general direction of the Siege Engineer, and cancelling Recover Wounded: Interrupted by Siege Engineer.

Ah, as you mention there was a friendly fire, it almost sounds like there was a (minor) loyalty cascade in your fortress - sounds like the seige engineer somehow ended up becoming an enemy entity. |

I guess a look at my save might help. Here it is. https://zacharyspector.com/owncloud/apps/files_sharing/get.php?token=fafc470d9116657f6778dfa4462a6b1d3a396a1c [^] |

Please upload your save to http://dffd.wimbli.com/ [^] -- we see a lot of saves disappear from personal hosting before Toady gets a chance to look at them. Friendly fire doesn't happen in DF, at least not in the accidental sense (creatures don't get hit by projectiles targeted at somebody else, except maybe in Adv Mode). Most likely it was the killing of the werebeast that sparked the cascade, and then your dwarves got shot. Was the Siege Engineer one of the dwarves that was ordered to kill the werebeast? |

I wasn't able to download your save. If you have one, please upload it to http://dffd.wimbli.com/ [^] and reopen this report. |
