Summary0006204: "One of the compressed files on disk has errors on it". Save directory ("current") blank.
DescriptionI was perhaps, five years in. Had 199 dwarves, including a good 20 or more children and babies - there were a lot. I was attacked by some goblins. After beating them I was down to maybe 183.. 186 dwarves. It wasn't too much longer after returning to normal life that I saved and exited. Today, the next day, I loaded to find the error (see summary) and upon inspection, the "current" directory blank - no files. After dismissing the error messagebox, the game crashed. This happens on every attempt.

I was running at 45-50 (my max) FPS. I had no problems before now.
Additional InformationWindows 7 64bit, i7 2600K (not overclocked), 16gb DDR3 1600MHz (Corsair Vengeance CL8), game running from an external Maxtor hard drive.

 I just realised.. the game still finds a savegame listed, with the right name, etc. I guess "current" isn't that pivotal.

 Could you have been running two DF instances simultaneously at any point? If so, this is 0001777.

Are you using compressed saves? If so, it's probably 0002017.

 Only the one instance. Yes, compressed saves.
