Summary | 0008191: Dwarf fails to find path back to surface; stuck in climbing mode?
Description | So I have a save where I sent a squad of dwarves into the third cavern layer, via an underground passage. The leader got stuck there, unable to find a path back to the surface. This happened in 0.40.08 or 0.40.09. When loaded in 0.40.10, the leader walks away from his previous hangout, and instead starts climbing the underground trees and some of the walls, without gaining climbing skill. When I tell the whole squad to go to a location right next to this dwarf, he's the only one complaining that he can't find a path there. At some point, in 0.40.09, two carpenters ended up down there for hauling duties, got scared by crundles, and also lost the ability to path, before I savescummed back to a moment before it happened.
Steps To Reproduce | Make a dwarf move down to a cavern through an underground passage, and then scare them or get them in combat?

I'm seeing this with trees where if a companion (zombie or otherwise) are able to climb a tree, but cannot get back down. Particularily noticible in forest retreats when companions follow you up a tree or zombies climb trees to attack. |
