Summary0008380: Metal armor wears out extremely quickly
DescriptionDespite creating masterwork steel armor pieces, I'm finding them wearing out completely within a couple of months. Only three months at most after I'd created masterwork steel armor for my military, I noticed that any of them that had been equipped by dwarves had already either worn out completely, or was in a threadbare / tattered state. The dwarves had not been in combat or even sparring during that time.

I've noticed this somewhat randomly in other forts, probably even back into .34, but assumed that this behavior was intentional. However, the wiki says that armor isn't supposed to wear out unless in a refuse stockpile. Even if armor wearing out has been added since that was updated, the rate of wear seems very excessive.

As I said before, this seems to be somewhat random. Armor will wear out in some forts, and stay in perfect condition forever in others.
Steps To Reproduce1. Create metal armor for military
2. Equip armor
3. Keep an eye on the wear of the armor. If the bug is present it should happen within a few months.
Additional InformationI am using the latest starter pack (40.13 r3) with no other mods. If the armor does not continue to wear on your run, I will upload my entire DF folder to check for what might cause this

As it happens, your stockpile # 1, where you're storing your armor, is also a refuse stockpile.
