Summary | 0001118: Giant throws Dwarf, hits self
Description | While testing stuck-ins with a possessed giant in the arena, I started playing around with wrestling. Dwarf tossing is fairly fun, but I've noticed on occasion that I throw the dwarf into myself, knocking me prone. Doesn't really seem intended.
Steps To Reproduce | Start tossing around dwarfs in the arena as a giant. Sometimes you'll throw the dwarf by the part with your part, and then it will slam into you, knocking the both of you prone.

I've gotten this with other creatures as well, probably happens with anything capable of grabbing and throwing. |

Yeah, I would imagine so. The giant is just a handy test because of his massive size and ability to wrestle. I suppose the summary and description are a bit more specific than I had intended. |

A size difference may have something to do with it. We'd have to look at what is actually happening that causes this. It doesn't happen so often that it impedes combat, but it is a bit strange. |

still happens in 34.02 and it happens cus you don't get to choose where you wish to throw the target, so the random direction generator sometimes chooses the player's direction causing the thrown target to hit the player knocking him over. i'm not saying you should be able to choose where you wish to throw all targets, just the ones that are small enough to be thrown anywhere but slightly up in the same Z level and it should have some sort of limit to how far you can throw the thing depending on how heavy it is, like if you were going to throw something that weighed about the same as a rock you should be able to throw it about the same distance. throwing would have to be reworked somehow tho as you can still throw a full, fully grown, dragon corpse as far as one can shoot a bow/crossbow/throw a stone. i'm assuming it will be worked on some time later tho as its not insanely important at this time. |
