Summary | 0002268: Cavern Lake Placement Error - Crossed Layers
Description | On a world with high cavernousness settings, I seem to have generated a severe anomaly... an underground lake was placed directly on top of a wide, open connection between the first and second cavern layers, such that they are effectively one layer. While visually impressive, the stone-cold FPS drop on embark was not so fun. Save posting to follow.
Steps To Reproduce | Unknown; high cavernousness and/or cave water settings?
Additional Information | I am FANTASTICALLY lucky said lake was not connected to the map edge.

http://dffd.wimbli.com/file.php?id=2482 [^] Save, as promised. Dig down from the wagon area to reveal the cavern. |

What might be even more helpful is a pre-embark save with a screenshot showing the embark location. This lets Toady check the local terrain generation code in the debugger so he can see the errors while they're happening. |

I've got one for you here: http://dffd.wimbli.com/file.php?id=2750 [^] A warning though, prepare for MASSIVE lag. Edit: This one was also not touching the map edge. |

Save looks like feature corruption. |
